Nashville Meet 3 Recap

The stock markets are always a gamble, but if you had stock in Heat Winner ribbons then Monday was a rollercoaster of emotions for you. First, the highs of an 18 year old registering at the 11th hour and sweeping the 60-69 year old age group heats they were seeded in. But just as you cannot have light without darkness, there are no highs without lows. Those Heat Winner ribbon stock lows were provided by an eager 5 year old girl who started to hand the ribbons out to everyone who swam regardless of their order of finish.

Individual Results

There’s no “i” in team but there are a handful in “Nashville Grown-Up Swimming” so the jury is still out on that one. You can check out your individual times here

Team Results

Cottonwood is building up some momentum for the Championship of the World of Nashville, but it’s still anyone’s meet to win. You can find full team results here, but the overall rankings are:

  1. Cottonwood — 1144

  2. 7 Hills Grown Ups — 911

  3. Richland Gators — 359

  4. Ensworth Aquatic — 265

  5. Westhaven — 67

Championship of the World of Nashville

With August 15th right around the corner, everyone is shaking with excitement to see who comes out on top of the Championship of the World of Nashville (thank you to Richland for hosting). But before we can figure out who is the best of the best and is therefore deserving of the obnoxiously-sized trophies and championship towels, a few tidbits about the meet.

  1. All relays will have a minimum age add-up of 140. (If you want to zig when everyone else zags, perhaps you should consider finding 20 of the fastest 7 year-olds and have them swim in trench coats with one on top of another’s shoulders? Maybe add a fake moustache to really sell it?)

  2. Races will be based off of seed times instead of age

  3. IF NOT ALREADY REGISTERED then league registration is now $40. There is no need to register again

All Star Meet in Hilton Head

Our Grown-Up Swimming t-shirts have been selling like hotcakes. Skyler even confirmed that if these sales keep up we might start selling them with hotcakes. What could be better than that? Well, I’m glad you asked because we are doing a t-shirt design contest for the All Star meet in Hilton Head. All you need to do is email a design to Head Grown-Up Brian Robbins ([email protected]) by Sunday 8/14 at Midnight
