July 6th Grown-Up Swimming Practices
Hi Grown-Ups,
I'd like to start today off with the introduction to Joey Chestnut before he ate 71 hotdogs at this July 4ths hot dog eating contest. He is an athlete not unlike us... competing under pressure after numerous hotdogs and perhaps a beer.
"We are humbled by age in preparation for the great insult of death, but there are those who stand immortal not through the grace of heaven but through their own triumphs"
- Real introduction for the hot dog eating world champion

What is GOLF? When I write GOLF below, it's actually very similar to golf the sport. We are trying to get the lowest "strokes possible.
How does it work?
1. Start the repition and count your strokes
2. On the next repition try to lower your stroke count of the 25
3. The lowest score is better, just like in regular golf!
What is FAST GOLF? This is very similar to GOLF, where you're trying to take the least amount of strokes but now you doing it at a race pace. A 90-100% effort being concious of the amount of strokes your taking and trying to decrease them.
Practice One: Aerobic Swimming into FAST GOLF
The longer swimming will naturally tire you out. Hold your technique and stroke when you get to the GOLF.
2. Practice Two: IM Set
No butterfly! Building the IM up to fast 25s freestyle.
Advanced has a nice 100IM at the end.
Hope you enjoy!
